Plant Overview
The Black Njaval Fruit Plant (commonly known as Jamun or Java Plum) is a prized tropical evergreen tree deeply cherished for its nutritious, oblong berries that turn from green to a deep, glossy purplish-black when ripe. The flesh inside is exceptionally juicy, sweet, and pleasantly astringent, leaving a signature purple tint on the tongue. Celebrated for its numerous health benefits and robust growth habit, this premium grafted variety has a compact nature and bears fruit much earlier than wild trees. It features dense, lance-shaped emerald foliage, making it a magnificent structural addition to large home gardens, backyards, and sunny open orchards.
Growing Requirements
● Sunlight: Full sun (requires at least 6 hours of unshaded direct daily sunlight)
● Watering: Moderate; water deeply when the topsoil feels dry, reducing water once established
● Soil: Highly adaptable; prefers well-draining, deep loamy or alluvial soil rich in organic compost
● Fertilizing: Feed with balanced organic manure, compost, or bone meal every 3–4 weeks during spring and summer active growth
● Placement: Ideal for spacious backyard lawns, fruit orchards, and sunny outdoor garden spaces
Bring home a Black Njaval Fruit Plant and enjoy its rich, sweet-tangy berries, lush evergreen canopy, and excellent health rewards that elevate your tropical home orchard.
