Plant Overview
The Bush Orange Fruit Plant (commonly known as Calamondin or Panama Orange) is a highly attractive, dwarf-friendly citrus shrub loved for its compact growth habit and non-stop fruiting cycles. It produces an abundance of small, round, bright orange fruits that offer a refreshingly sharp, tangy juice with an incredibly aromatic zest. Complemented by glossy, deep green oval foliage and highly fragrant white blossoms, this resilient plant serves as both an edible asset and a premium ornamental highlight. It is an exceptional choice for sunny balconies, patios, courtyards, and small home garden spaces.
Growing Requirements
● Sunlight: Full sun to bright indirect sunlight (requires at least 5–6 hours of direct daily sun for optimal fruiting)
● Watering: Moderate; water deeply when the topsoil layer feels dry to the touch, ensuring zero water accumulation
● Soil: Loose, highly porous, well-draining soil mix enriched with organic compost or leaf mold
● Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced citrus or organic liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during the active blooming and fruiting seasons
● Placement: Ideal for bright sunny balconies, patios, terraces, open courtyards, and compact garden layouts
