Plant Overview
The Croton Zanzibar Landscaping Plant (Codiaeum variegatum 'Zanzibar'), commonly known as the Zanzibar Croton, is an extraordinarily graceful tropical evergreen shrub celebrated in landscape design for its unique grass-like, narrow foliage. Unlike broad-leaf crotons, this distinct cultivar produces long, slender, ribbon-like leaves that fountain outward in vibrant, fiery shades of yellow, red, orange, bronze, and deep green. Extremely vibrant and textured, it adds soft movement, tropical warmth, and fine-leafed contrast to outdoor settings. Naturally compact and bushy, it serves as an exceptional choice for colorful garden borders, rockeries, tropical mass plantings, and decorative patio container displays.
Growing Requirements
● Sunlight: Full sun to bright indirect light (requires strong sunlight for maximum color intensity)
● Watering: Moderate; keep the soil consistently moist while ensuring sharp drainage
● Soil: Fertile, rich, well-draining garden soil mix
● Fertilizing: Feed with balanced organic manure or balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 months
● Placement: Perfect for sunny garden borders, tropical beds, rockeries, and patio container displays
Bring home the Croton Zanzibar Plant and enjoy its fiery ribbon-like foliage, fountain-like growth habit, and low-maintenance tropical beauty that adds vivid color and fine texture to your landscape design.
