Plant Overview
The Thunbergia White Creeper Plant, botanically celebrated as Thunbergia grandiflora 'Alba' and widely known as the White Sky Vine or White Bengal Clock Vine, is an exceptionally vigorous, breathtakingly elegant tropical evergreen climber that stands as a premier choice for high-end vertical landscape design. Highly prized for its show-stopping, cascading floral display, this premium variety features strong, twining woody vines clothed in large, heart-shaped, slightly rough emerald-green leaves with elegantly lobed margins. Throughout the warm seasons, the dense canopy drops magnificent, elongated clusters of large, trumpet-shaped blossoms rendered in a pristine, snowy-white hue, accented by a soft creamy-yellow throat. Boasting a rapid and robust growth habit, it is the ultimate selection for softening large pergolas, draping over high boundary fences, or creating a dense, blooming privacy screen on sun-drenched balconies and terraces.
Growing Requirements
● Sunlight: Full sun to bright indirect afternoon sunlight; requires a minimum of 5–6 hours of direct daily sun to unlock maximum flowering potential
● Watering: Moderate to high; water deeply and thoroughly when the top layer of soil feels dry, keeping the medium consistently hydrated without waterlogging
● Soil: Highly fertile, loose, deep, and sharply well-draining loamy soil mix heavily enriched with rich organic compost
● Fertilizing: Feed with an organic, phosphorus- and potassium-rich flowering fertilizer every 3–4 weeks during active growing phases
● Placement: Perfect for bright sunny balconies with sturdy trellises, overhead pergolas, high perimeter walls, and large landscape containers with vertical support
Bring home a Thunbergia White Creeper and enjoy its magnificent heart-shaped foliage, spectacular cascading trumpet blossoms, and vigorous climbing nature that effortlessly transforms blank overhead structures and fences into a lush, white-draped tropical oasis.
