Plant Overview
The Custard Apple Green Plant (popularly known as Green Seethapazham or Sugar Apple) is a classic, highly favored tropical fruit tree cherished for its delicious, knobby-skinned fruits. When fully ripe, the distinct segments easily separate to reveal a snow-white, extraordinarily sweet, and fragrant pulp that boasts a velvety, custard-like texture. Renowned for its hardy, resilient nature and excellent heat tolerance, this premium grafted selection begins bearing fruit much sooner than standard wild seedlings. Dressed in elegant lance-shaped green foliage, it develops into a beautiful compact tree, making it a highly rewarding and low-maintenance highlight for sunny home backyards, orchards, and sunny terraces.
Growing Requirements
● Sunlight: Full sun (requires at least 6 hours of unshaded, direct daily sunlight for strong fruit development)
● Watering: Moderate; water thoroughly when the top layer of soil dries completely, as it performs best with regular drying intervals
● Soil: Highly adaptable; thrives in loose, sandy-loam, well-draining soil rich in organic matter
● Fertilizing: Feed with balanced organic manure, vermicompost, or slow-release fruit granules every 3–4 weeks during active spring and summer growth
● Placement: Perfect for open backyards, fruit orchards, sunny home gardens, and warm terrace locations
Bring home a Custard Apple Green Plant and enjoy its traditional honey-sweet fruits, resilient growing habit, and rich tropical foliage that effortlessly elevate your home fruit collection.
